Detoxification of asbestosGovernment-certified facility

Proposing a new disposal method that eliminates future worries

The handling and disposal methods for asbestos are strictly stipulated by law to prevent them from causing damage to health. Asbestos must eventually be converted into harmless matter by the detoxification processing specified by law or disposed by landfill using a strictly controlled method. Tsuneishi Kamtecs is one of the few companies certified by the minister for detoxification of asbestos.

Comparison between Tsuneishi Kamtecs's asbestos detoxification technology and disposal by landfill

Receiving Receiving flexible container bags or drums in which waste asbestos in double-bags is held Receiving waste asbestos in double bags that are loaded on trucks
Preprocessing, etc. Checking for any broken bags under controlled negative pressure. In many cases, no preprocessing nor checking for any broken bags is conducted.
Safety of processing In order to maintain the negative pressure in the receiving check booth and the input device, double-bags are directly subjected to a melting process without being opened. Therefore, there is no worry that asbestos be scattered. The operation is conducted outdoors, and if any double-bags are broken, asbestos may be scattered.
State after processing Waste asbestos is fully detoxified and no asbestos is included in the processed matter. In addition, soot and dust generated from the processing is solidified by cement for subsequent final disposal. Therefore, future safety is secured. The operation is conducted outdoors, and if any double-bags are broken, asbestos may be scattered.

Changing from disposal by landfill to detoxification! We propose a new asbestos processing method.

Features of Tsuneishi Kamtecs's detoxification technology
  1. Removing the future danger of asbestos
  2. The only company in the country that can conduct melting processing of asbestos in conditions of below 1,500°C for less environmental impact
  3. First-operated asbestos detoxification facility certified by the Minister of the Environment

Waste asbestos throughput: 12 tons/day x 2 units. 24 tons a day at maximum can be processed.

1Receiving waste asbestos
Waste asbestos in double-bags is received in flexible container bags or drums.

2Inspection
Received waste asbestos is first checked for any broken bags or foreign matter in the negative-pressure controlled booth.

3Input management
Input management room (left) where input work is conducted in an atmosphere maintained at a negative pressure. Automatic input device (right), the inside of which is maintained at a negative pressure. The weight of input waste is managed, and the data is automatically transferred to the central operation room for compilation and recording.

4Melting processing

5Treatment of fly ash
Soot and dust generated from processing of waste asbestos are treated with a chemical agent, and are then solidified by cement and disposed at our own final disposal site.
